i'm theresa (she/her), a dedicated and enthusiastic artist at heart with special interests in collaborative, intersectional, and funky artistic and educational processes. growing up in historic and artistic richmond, virginia, i've spent my life in and out of all kinds of cultural institutions, happily. i discovered my love for dramaturgy and the intersection of museum and theatrical work while studying art history, museum studies, and theatre at james madison university. take a peak at my work and reach out. let's work together!

may 2025. graduated with my BA in art history, museum studies, and theatre from james madison university in harrisonburg, va. check out my senior showcase material here.

summer 2025. i served as the new work dramaturg for EXTRACURRICULAR, a new immersive musical by thomas schultheis in the workshop in midlothian, va in june 2025. view more on my theatre projects page.

summer 2025. i worked at the williamstown theatre festival as an audience engagement assistant for their 71st season and served as the dramaturg for the second block of the williamstown underground reading series. view more on my theatre projects page.

fall and winter 2025. i was a script reader for seven devils new play foundry's 2026 playwrights conference.

currently and upcoming

i am currently working as the community engagement museum fellow at the taubman museum of art in roanoke, va.

spring 2026. i am serving as the production dramaturg for john logan's red at shenanarts in staunton, va.

spring 2026. i am the dramaturg for love alive productions' staged reading of theresa rebeck's seminar , the first work in love alive's inaugural living room series.

spring 2026. i am continuing my role as new work dramaturg for EXTRACURRICULAR leading up to their second full workshop in california later in the year.
